Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born on the 18th of November of 1985 in Los Angeles. Paul Felix served as an ordained minister in Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix was aware that she was gifted to run when she was a student at Los Angeles Baptist High School. After a few weeks of the first trial she took, she was ranked second for 200m at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix was a high school graduate when she graduated from school in 2003, signed an agreement with Adidas. She then was accepted into at the University of Southern California and completed her studies in elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic Medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set the Junior World Record taking 200m in 22.18 second. The 2005 Helsinki World Championships saw her become the shortest woman ever to be crowned the winner of the 200-meter race. In 2007 she defended this title and beat her Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix competed at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and has consistently ranked among the top three athletes in her respective events.
